Jason Pearson

A veteran himself, Jason Pearson served in the United States Army from August 1998 until November 2001. His experience – both as a veteran himself as an infantry soldier and as an attorney – places him at a unique advantage to serve and advocate for his veteran clients. Mr. Pearson knows the fight, and he leverages his knowledge and passion to provide the highest quality of service and representation to his clients.

Mr. Pearson received his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he graduated Cum Laude and was honored with the ‘Distinguished Graduate’ award. Prior to law school, Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University, once again graduating Cum Laude of his class. Prior to becoming an attorney at Disability Law Group, his legal experience included advocating for veterans, as well as at-risk youth providing them with tools to succeed upon rejoining the community. Jason’s commitment and passion to serve others is deeply ingrained in all that he does both inside and outside the courtroom.

At Disability Law Group, Mr. Pearson shares his passion for honoring veterans’ service by helping veterans obtain the maximum VA disability benefit possible. He represents veterans in their claim for service connected disability and non-service connected disability pension benefits. Jason takes great pride in serving his clients, as he did for his time spent serving our country, and he is known for his genuine commitment to helping others in need. He also volunteers as a veteran mentor at the Ingham County Veterans Treatment Court.

Mr. Pearson is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (SBM), SBM-Veteran’s Law Section, and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates. He is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). Mr. Pearson is accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs, and he helps his veteran clients throughout the appeals process, including the Regional level, Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA), and the Court (CAVC). Jason loves spending his time with his daughters and friends – camping, hiking, and visiting Houghton Lake together. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, grilling, and keeping his lawn looking green when Michigan weather allows it.
