KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals, and record daily transactions with proper categorization.
    • Verify and post invoices, payments, and receipts, and reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
    • Prepare and generate financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, while assisting in variance analysis and financial statement preparation.
      Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Management:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in accounting or finance required; Bachelor’s preferred. Certification such as CB or CPB is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fields. Proven experience in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

Job Summary:

The intake supervisor oversees all new client intakes and case assignments for our mid-size law firm. You will manage a team of intake specialists, providing development and training opportunities to enhance their skills. Key responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in pursuing disability benefits before the Social Security Administration.
  • Create and maintain a strong attorney-client relationship with each client.
  • Assist in all levels of the Social Security disability process from the initial application through appeals to the U.S. District Court.
  • Maintain a steady caseload of administrative hearings and client communication with integrity and compassion.
  • Contact prospective clients when needed to screen and accept viable disability cases.
  • Support department and firm goals through effective communication, representation, and leadership.
  • Cultivate a strong firm culture and community partnerships.
Experience/skills:
  • A J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Must be in good standing and an active member of the Michigan Bar.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and grow client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in Social Security disability law may be of benefit, but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and software (e.g. MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.).

Medical Records Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Social Security Administration (SSA)

JOB SUMMARY:

Records managers work alongside case managers and attorneys to ensure fully developed files and exceptional service for our clients. Regular attention to daily task list with a keen eye towards upcoming hearings and deadlines is critical. Records manager’s prepare, submit, follow-up on, and log medical records and other requests. Phone call coverage and routing calls to the team, case manager, or attorney, may also be required. This position requires great attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills. Communication with clients, medical facilities, and other government entities as needed to ensure a complete file. RESONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Order medical records and follow-up on record requests.
  • Scan and log confidential documents in the appropriate client files.
  • Collaborate with SSA case managers on daily task list, advising on any pertinent issues.
  • Communicate with medical facilities and other agencies, and issue payments as needed for records based on our requests.
  • Provide phone coverage and call routing, as well as other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain department goals and keep task list up-to-date.
