Nura Lutfi
Attorney

Attorney Nura Lutfi graduated from the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science before receiving her law degree from Wayne State University Law School. Ms. Lutfi has always been passionate about helping people who experience difficulty accessing our legal system, from the disabled to the elderly, as well as those from low-income backgrounds and other vulnerable populations. During her time in law school, Ms. Lutfi clerked at a Michigan disability law firm where she gained experience with helping individuals who have a wide-range of disabilities win their Social Security disability cases. In 2013, upon admission to the State Bar of Michigan, Nura was able to hone in her legal advocacy and skills representing people in their claim for disability benefits as well as family law matters.

From there, Nura accepted a position as an attorney, and later a promotion as the supervising attorney, at Lakeshore Legal Aid-Dearborn office, a local not-for-profit law firm providing a wide-range of free civil legal services to people in need. She was able to represent people who are low income, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Not only did this experience broaden her exposure and ability to positively influence the lives of those in great need throughout our community, but also allowed her to sharpen her understanding of Social Security Disability law. Additionally, Ms. Lutfi takes great pride in the deep ties and community connections she has built throughout the years between her client outreach and volunteer efforts.

At Disability Law Group, Nura applies her legal background in client advocacy and genuine passion to help those in need while specializing strictly in disability law as an associate attorney in the firm’s Social Security Disability department. Ms. Lutfi is also fluent in Arabic and a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and secretary of the Dearborn Bar Association. In her free time, she enjoys baking cakes, traveling, and yoga, as well as spending time with her 6 nieces and nephews.
